This report presents the findings of a review of adult mental health information which was commissioned by The Information Centre for health and social care (The IC). The aims of the review were to improve understanding of mental health joint working arrangements, the implications for information needs and reporting, and to make recommendations for ways of supporting a more meaningful and appropriate approach in this area. The project is part of the broader Adult Social Care Information Development (ASCID) programme. The review project involved detailed discussions with eight localities who were selected to reflect the range of issues that were likely to have implications for service arrangements and information issues.
