Pat Holman, Norfolk and Waveney NHS Partnership Trust lead initial work. NIMHE will be launching a formal consultation to Review Care Programme Approach in late Autumn 2006. There will be the opportunity to contribute your comments to the discussion via their website. Service users' and carers' comments on CPA and wider issues are also available on the NIMHE website.CPA consultation link:

Standard CPA and Enhanced CPA

This project to achieve a consensus on firstly what constitutes the criteria for Standard CPA and Enhanced CPA

Subsequently what does Standard CPA and Enhanced CPA mean in practice

Is there a case for any other levels of CPA?

Such as eligible for the CPA but not yet subject to CPA

Do closed cases have a CPA level attributed to them or should they be subject to a level of CPA called Inactive?

Should all subject to Section 117 be kept on Enhanced CPA?

Can an Enhanced CPA case case be closed without first being reset as Standard CPA?

There has been widespread support for the national CPA Handbook produced by the CPA Association. Should the association now produce a CPA handbook for service users (and one for carers)?
