About CPAA Seminars
The Association has organised a series of seminars across the UK since the early 2000s. These seminars have evolved into extremely valuable platforms which provide members with high-quality CPD and networking opportunities. Currently the Association operates thirteen seminars across the UK, three times a year, which all members are welcome to participate in.
The Association's March and September seminars are day long events, focused around a presentation delivered by a professional speaker who is an expert in a relevant field. Topics are focused upon issues which are of relevance to small accountancy practitioners – FRS 102/5, self-assessment, Making Tax Digital (MTD), capital gains tax etc. Speakers at previous seminars have included Rebecca Cave, Valerie Steward and Ros Martin. Significant time is also allocated to group discussion and networking time at each event.
CPAA seminars are a great way to do reliable, trustworthy and no fuss CPD. As a sole practitioner it can often feel as though you are working in a silo, CPAA seminars provide a great opportunity to meet with other practitioners; share information, experiences and bounce ideas off other professional practising accountants.
Our June seminars are member led events. These events are focused upon networking and group discussion. They may feature speakers organised by the members who regularly attend the seminar.
In order to provide the most value to members the Association provides members with the ability to gain a CPD certificate for each seminar they attend. This certificate can be used to evidence participation in CPD with other organisations. If you are prospective member, or an interested party, and want more information on the Association’s seminars you should email our admin team (firstname.lastname@example.org).
In addition to operating seminars the Association also offers a comprehensive package of online CPD. All members are given access to a catalogue of 2020 Innovation, CPD webinars which they can use throughout their membership.
